What is going on?

I would like to know what in the hell is going on in our world? Everyday there are more and more news stories about people hurting one another. It’s bad enough our planet is revolting against us, but the destruction doesn’t have to be propelled by people attacking people!

The tornado that touched down in Oklahoma and Texas did enough damage, the earthquakes that have rocked Italy and China and Iran, the wildfires in California, the Tsunamis, the floods, the hurricanes.. aren’t those natural disasters enough for us? Dont we lose enough people in the attacks we can’t seem to control? Do we really need to kill off each other?

I just read about a killing in London that MI5 officials think was terror related. A soldier was beaten to death and maybe shot by two men, who thankfully are in custody. Two boys, one still a teenager, set off bombs at a marathon and take two young girls lives and one little boy.. and so many more, and those are just the ones that get National News attention! Right in our own backyard here in Florida there are killings every single day on the local news. Why? What is the point in taking someone else’s life? 

Do people not realize that these people they kill have people who love them? Do they not understand that one of their own loved ones could be brutally taken away from them? Is it a matter of not having a conscience? What. The. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. People? You’re taking someone’s child, sibling, parents, cousin, best friend.. away.. for what?!?! What does it help you gain? A few dollars? Retribution? It certainly gets you jail time or death, which really.. ends up being nothing. It gets you nothing. 

If we can send people to the moon and land robots on Mars and have the medical technology to fight off deadly diseases and take one organ from a stranger and put it in another stranger.. we can figure out how to coexist peacefully. It is not rocket science. It’s Humanity 101. Do unto others as you would have done to you. 

I was taught that from the time I could breath on my own. What is so hard about that? I really can not stand the world we’ve become. I am petrified for the world my son will live in when Im old and gray and he’s young and vibrant. What will be waiting for him then? What atrocities will he have to see? 

It’s senseless. It is completely senseless.
